Music Ministries

Purpose: Enhance liturgies and services with music that supports the themes of the season and/or day by:

• singing in the choir,

• serving as leaders of song (individually or in groups),

• playing musical instruments to enhance the music as needed.

Currently, music ministers can be members of the adult choir, the youth choir, the children´s choir, or contemporary music group.

Adult Choir

Rehearsals: Thursday evenings, 7:30 from September to June

Youth Choir

Rehearsals: Sunday from 12:00 to 1:30p.m. and one Friday per month from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Additional Information: Youth in grades 5 through 10 are given the opportunity to actively participate in St. Michael´s faith community as music leaders. The Youth Choir sings at Mass once a month, rotating through all of the Masses. Interested middle school, high school, and adult instrumentalists are always welcome.

Additional Information: Children 2nd to 5th grade currently sing at one Mass during the Christmas season. See the weekly bulletin for sign-up and rehearsal information.

Contemporary Music Ministry

Rehearsals: Monday evening 7:00 p.m. in the large church.

Additional Information: Currently the group sings at Mass on the second Saturday, 5pm Mass and at the fourth Sunday 10:30am Mass. They also assist at the 4:00 pm Mass on Christmas Eve and the 10:00 am Mass on Easter Day in the multi-purpose building (gym).
