Hello, and welcome to the new parish website! I encourage you to visit it often, and keep in touch with the life and mission of St. Michael Catholic Church, Poplar Springs, Mount Airy, MD.

What our parish church offers and enjoys today, by God´s blessing, in terms of service and facilities has emerged over 130 years of cooperation and collaboration by people of faith and vision. We are part of something bigger, a growing branch on the Tree of Life, part of a universal web, as we advance the kingdom of God beyond parish boundaries. "Go out to all the world and tell the good news." (Matthew 28:19)

The parish website is intended to uplift, to communicate valuable information, to foster a vision, and to enhance a sense of belonging and community, as we share with you our past and present, our history and hopes for the future; our news of people and events young and old. Through the seasons and the Church´s year of grace, we shall seek the greater glory of God and the good of his Church by means of liturgical worship, Christian education, evangelization, generous stewardship, and the sharing of our spiritual and material blessings in charity and fellowship.

And blessed are those who designed, or will tend the parish website supported by the Communication, Technology, and Development Committees of the Pastoral Council. We recognize and appreciate their pioneering efforts and commitment to improve communications. May the parish website prove to be useful in the ministry of shared responsibility of building one body in Christ.

For Christ is the Father´s gift to us that must be unwrapped for another millennium, in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. As his disciples in the modern age, we renew our Savior´s vision of drawing all to himself. Open wide the doors to Christ. By our faith, we can bring others into Christ´s healing presence.

Christ yesterday and today, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega, all time belongs to Him and all ages, to Him be glory and power through every age for ever. Amen.
